Terms of service

PEAKSTW provides hiking records for Taiwan’s Baiyue and Small Baiyue, achievement tracking, community interaction and related features. The service is free to use; some advanced features (Pro) may require payment.

You may sign in with Google to enable cloud synchronisation. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You can delete your account and associated data at any time.

Posts, photos and comments you publish in the community are your own content. You authorise the service to display content you publish publicly within the platform. Do not publish unlawful, harassing, insulting or infringing content.

Do not abuse the service or interfere with other users, attempt to breach or damage system security, automatically scrape or make bulk requests to service resources, impersonate others, or spread false information.

The service’s design, code, icons and related materials are protected by intellectual-property rights. Public information such as mountain names and geographical data is excluded.

Weather data, mountain information and guide content are for reference only and do not constitute hiking safety advice.

The platform does not provide a navigation service and must not be relied on as the basis for route navigation or positioning. Carry suitable navigation tools such as offline maps, a GPS device or paper maps.

Hiking involves risks including getting lost, falls, hypothermia and altitude sickness. Assess your fitness, weather and route difficulty, and prepare appropriately. Some mountains require park-entry and mountain-entry permits; you are responsible for checking and completing the required applications.

The service is not responsible for data loss, service interruption or damage caused by use of the service. Decisions to hike based on information from the service are your own; the service does not accept responsibility for resulting personal injury, property loss or other damage.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or terminate the service. Users will be notified in advance of major changes.

Changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the service indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
